The Tribble with Memories

This came in the mail today.

A bit of a backstory here. I remember telling Kate Paulk (and probably the Huns and whoever else got the baby pic mails) while Brandon was still in the hospital that we were trying to come up with a stuffed toy for him. Aff had suggested a tribble, before the little dinosaur nickname had stuck (that’s how early this was!) and I mentioned wanting to order one from Thinkgeek.

Rhys and I lost our baby boy to SUIDs (as far as we know so far) nearly two months ago; and he was only two and a half months old. So I mentioned to Kate (…vaguely. I have a hazy memory) that it would be nice if the tribbles came back in stock so I could ‘send’ one along with Brandon on his cremation. (Don’t worry; he had a teddy bear from his paternal grandparents, and a little stegosaurus cuddly from Mummy and Daddy.) Kate passed this on to the folks who wanted to do something for us / the kids / Brandon; and one of the folks from the Facebook discussions said he’d try to find one in Sydneycon, and swore he’d get one for me if he did.

Well, Aussies are awesome and stubborn folk and while he didn’t find one in Sydneycon, he did find one eventually and sent it. Purrsistence is not futile!

Thank you, Tim, for the Genetically Altered Tribble, hereby named Genni. It will ride on top of Emily the Emu as she perches next to Brandon’s urn. Thank you for caring so much for my boy, and for making me smile today. You are wonderful! People like you are blessings, and I am grateful to have, in this small way, met you.

Interesting little surprises

I run into interesting people online – hell, my hubby is a person I met on the Megatokyo Story Discussions forum and Aff is my former clan leader now housemate. This is probably why most of my friends are online too.

Naturally, interesting stories come up and this is one of them. A discussion about Star Wars over at According to Hoyt lead to this delightful anecdote by Xenophon (who kindly allowed me to repost his story here.) Enjoy!

The first Star Wars film (episode IV) was a really interesting phenomenon in H’wood, not least because NOBODY (including the studio, director, producer, etc.) expected it to be a huge hit.

When SW was in production I was in High School living in Santa Monica, CA. Across the street from us lived a budding young producer who’d heard about SW through the grape vine. The buzz at the time was “It’s an old-school SciFi adventure film, with a twist. The big difference is that the milieu is lived in: beat-up, run down, dirty, and USED.”

Our neighbor **really** wanted to visit the special effects team working on the film. He figured out that the sfx team would really want to meet “the father of computer graphics” (a.k.a., my Dad). So he got my Dad’s permission to parlay Dad’s reputation into a visit for himself, my Dad, and me. Dad’s other “payment” for the use of his reputation was that we got our neighbor’s tickets to see SW at the theater belonging to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. No lines to wait in, and the best projection and sound systems in the industry at the time. At the time we made this deal, nobody expected SW to be a huge hit, so we had no idea what a big deal those tickets would be after the movie came out.

According to our neighbor, the reason he was so eager to visit the sfx team was that he’d heard that they were producing amazing results on a budget that he described as “half a shoe-string.” He really wanted to learn about how they were doing it.

We spent most of a school-day visiting the sfx guys. They too described the “big difference” from what had been done before as being the “run-down and dirty” look. Absolutely NO ONE claimed that anything about the *story* was special or different.

There was virtually NO CGI, as that was far too expensive for their budget. Instead, it was almost all old-school model building, etc. They did only one thing that they described as “high tech.” The fly-through of the surface of the Death Star (and the trench) was done by putting a camera on a computer-controlled arm, and moving it (extremely carefully!) past and through a BIG model of the DS surface and trench, doing stop-motion photograpy as they went. In this context, “BIG” means about 15 feet by 40 feet or so. The arm was an industrial robot arm they’d leased for the purpose, controlled by a PDP-11 (also leased). Apparently they were the first in H’wood to use this technique. The precision and flexibility of the computerized arm let them mount a video camera so they could preview the results and tweak the camera motions to the director’s satisfaction — all before shooting even a single frame of actual film. It also meant that late changes to the exact path of the camera required shooting *only* the specific frames that changed. Prior techniques required re-shooting the entire sequence.

They told us that the model-work for the DS surface was put together out of square modules about one foot on a side, fastened side-by-side on a grid. They had remarkably few different modules — four or five, IIRC (certainly a single-digit number) — and disguised this in part by rotating the modules so they’d be in different orientations to the camera. And yes, the sides of the trench were exactly the same modules, placed vertically. If you look closely, you can see that the trench is exactly one module deep and one module wide. This modular structure mattered because they needed nearly 1000 modules for the DS surface; about 75% in use at any time, the rest as replacement parts when they broke something.

We also saw some very amusing saved video camera footage in which mistakes in programming the arm caused the camera to run into gun towers. Or the wall of the trench. Or the floor of the trench. Including a few where they said things like (paraphrasing here) “and the point where we lose the video here is where the robot arm destroyed the video camera by shoving it through the 2×6 framing that holds up the bottom corner of the trench.” Oops! Apparently this represented another significant savings: destroying consumer-grade video cameras was WAAAY cheaper than destroying high-end film cameras and lenses.

Back home with us

We got Brandon’s ashes back yesterday afternoon.

We cleaned up a spot for him, since his urn is actually kinda big and so he couldn’t sit in the same shelf top as Damien. I’d like to have a proper altar someday.

Rhys took the crib apart today. He moved my rocking chair into that spot. He hasn’t taken apart the bassinet.

It has been exactly a month since our youngest baby died and I can’t stop hurting.

I need to get away from this now before I smash very expensive computer equipment that costs probably in the realm of ten thousand dollars or more to replace.

I’ll see you again

My darling Brandon.
Picture of Brandon wearing shirt that says made with love.
How quickly he had become an irreplaceable presence in our lives.

There will always be a hole in our lives where he used to be, but he won’t be forgotten.

Funeral
We bid another son goodbye on Thursday, and I’m finally numb enough that I can write a little about it.

I asked for photos of the flower arrangements. We kept the little blue teddy bear. I cried as Rhys and I gave Brandon a last cuddle. After a while – an eternity that felt like it went by too quickly – we tucked him into the last little box he’ll ever sleep in.

Today, another angel gained his wings

20150408_005731_resizedThese will be the last photos of Brandon Tetsuya Alrhain, our darling fourth child and third son. It was taken last night as he slept in my lap around 3 am. He passed away suddenly while sleeping this morning between 7 am and 11:30. The coroners’ results are not in but it was probably SIDS. He was only 11 weeks and 3 days old. Just over 2.5 months old.

Brandon joins his brother, Damien Antonio Henry, whom we lost to full term stillbirth on the 5th of September, 2013.

My last memories of him are  of his bright-eyed gaze up at me as he nursed this morning, then him drifting off to sleep in my arms. I kissed him before placing him in his little ‘Brandon Box’, which he loved to sleep in. I watched him squirm himself comfortable and settle again. then lay down to sleep a little myself.

20150408_005823_resizedI woke up. My darling boy, my joy, our gray-eyed son, precious, feisty Brandon, never will again.

We are devastated by his death and are praying desperately that he is in heaven safe and sound. He hadn’t yet been baptised.

20150408_005803_resizedWe miss him horribly. Everything seems so surreal right now.

I can’t think of anything else to say.

Thoughts at 4 am in the morning

(I…need to ramble. So I don’t collapse. So I can stay sane for my two older children.)

I’m awake again. It’s 4 am again. I’m sitting in the chair where I’d taken those photos up there, that last sleepless night. I hadn’t gotten up and gone to bed, after my darling Rhys had kissed me goodnight, kissed our boy goodnight, and gone ahead to bed because he has early mornings.

She says what I am too sleep deprived to.

(Hi, if you’re linked to here by my longtime stalker who wants to paint me as a bigot, take a look at the history first and see if you want to be used by a misogynist, body-image-shaming racist who threatens my children again and again over the years. This is not the first time he’s attempted to get people to come after me because he doesn’t like that I exist. Be aware that he edits quotes to suit how he wants to be seen and is an untrustworthy source because of pathalogical lying. He also has admitted to doxxing me, to people who are probably, given his bent of hatred, are likely to be hostile.)

On to the rambly blogpost.

When I saw Overwatch‘s trailer from Blizzard, I thought for a wistful few moments “AWWW YIIIISSSS BLIZZARD MAKING CG MOVIES AT LAST!!!!!!!” (Yes, that was crushed shortly after, but I was consoled by the pure cracky fun that is Heroes of the Storm. C’mon. Nuking Diablo ftw, and I’ve seen the beta, I hope there’s a singleplayer mode so I can listen to the snark to snark combat. Also, the ‘wtf just happened?!’ of watching Nova fall into a sudden pitfall, and Diablo strolling over and covering her with dirt, then strolling away. Jim Raynor on a horse, I Want to play this game!)

Then I ran across this awesome responsive essay to some changes being made. On Tumblr no less. Has she been dogpiled on by Tumblr ‘feminists’? I hope not. She expressed a lot of the problems I have about people complaining about portrayal of the female sex in games/media/whatever. She’s quite right about the body-image shaming that SJWs engage in (I’m victim of this myself, as seen in the evidence of this post being done by my misogynistic stalker.) I’m just a bit sad that there seems to be a weird conflation of big woman = overweight looking. What about muscular? Muscular yet female women are even rarer in portrayal.

Namely, the “I want to pretend and play in a fantasy” POV is just as valid as the “BUT THERE IS NOBODY THERE WHO LOOKS LIKE ME” complaint. Y’know, I’d like to see more Pinoys Portrayed Positively … but it’s not the industry’s fault that there aren’t as many ports of visual novels to the English speaking world. (If there is a English port of Sampaguita please let me know, because from what I read, the story is awesome, the Filipina heroine has very typical Filipina traits while also NOT being totally locked into the mode, and it’s got actually gorgeously rendered character designs by Masamune Shirow.)

Classic Shirow Style too! Yay!

Classic Shirow Style too! Yay!

Am I disappointed that there ‘aren’t more Filipinos in Fiction?’ No, not really. I spot them now and again. Dr. Park in House MD is a Filipino-Korean Mezstiza and oh, I found her quite a familiar series of tropes. Her dad is a sweetheart, and while it’s never made clear which side of the pair is the Philippine connection, I think it’s somewhat implied to be the mother. And Dr. Park implies the whole Overbearing Female Ancestors parcel. (Poor Chase.) I’m not going to whine about ‘cultural appropriation’ because it’s quite a real trope, thank you very much. Watch Eat, Drink, Man, Woman. Good movie. One of my all time favorites. It’s a Taiwanese movie by Ang Lee and if you recognize the name it’s because of Brokeback Mountain. (I also recommend The Wedding Banquet. Also thanks Wikipedia, I’m going to go look for Pushing Hands, because it’s one of the series I haven’t seen, which deals with the classic Confuscian family and its rubbing up to, and against modern values. Be warned, they’re very ‘Asian’ movies.)

But I’m also not ‘offended’ or ‘upset’ because, well, honestly, ‘we don’t need to compete‘ with international superstars. I agree with everything this writer (who is a Chinese-Filipino mezstiza, or Chinay,) says in the post. She rocks. I’m sure there will be the inevitable SJW troll (like Clamps / Yamamanama /superstalkerofwomenAndrewPMarston) who will dismiss her because she writes romance novels, but I figure, SJWs as a whole like to ignore romance writers as a whole when it comes to their whinging about ‘not enough female authors’ falsehood, much in the same way they like to ignore that romance as a genre is Freaking Huge and Profitable, because it doesn’t play nice with the militant tumblrfeminist-misandrist worldview. They’re not ‘real writers’, like they like to pretend that they’re not raging hypocrites.

But hey, I have no intention of telling them to stop or shut up. I’m in fact, happy to let them talk/type what they think. They have the right, much in the same way I do – and that right does not exempt anyone from valid criticism.

Augmented reality

I’ll admit I’m really looking forward to seeing the way that Windows 10 and Microsoft’s Hololens will change how we do a lot of things. While it may be that interactive true holograms like what we see in Iron Man are still off, these are exciting new developments in technology that I’m hoping to see go truly mobile. As it is, we have potential to head in that direction thanks to the Hololens being able to interface with Windows 10 compatible smart phones and tablets.

Yes, I'd like to see things like these.

Yes, I’d like to see things like these.

If you’re worried about security Aff has been quite impressed with the direction on file security that they are taking with Windows 10 – apparently, they’ve made it so that even Microsoft can’t access your account data. I’m a little hazy on this and how it works but it seems that only the end user will have access. Data recovery, from the initial info I’m hearing from Aff, may be impossible. No more sticking a Windows file-system HDD into a ‘nix box and recovering files? Yikes. But your data is gonna be secure!

At present we are still limited to having large interfacing machines – though, granted we are experiencing leaps and bounds in the advancement of that. Most of the stuff I hear about the Hololens is from Aff keeping up to date with it, and they’re working on making it lighter and lighter.

This will become more user-friendly as technology and capability shrinks.

connexus02 connexus01

Maybe Connexus-like devices aren’t far off? The concept in this case isn’t too different from Bluetooth but has a holographic display that the end user can interact with. I’m imagining that it might be possible that we end up with more interesting looking displays and graphical user interfaces.

I heard (meaning, I’m told this and I haven’t got a way to confirm because I tried searching and turned up dry) that the head of MS wants the Hololens so light that it won’t be noticeable – and supposedly quipped that he wants it unnoticeable because he wants to be able to slip it onto the heads of employees who have fallen asleep on the job, and have monsters jump them when they wake up. That sure brings a whole new level to the batsu-gamu, punishment game.

GAAAAAAAAAH~~~!!!!!!

GAAAAAAAAAH~~~!!!!!!

Speaking of games, I’m quite delighted that they’re working on having games on Steam compatible with the Hololens. While the videos talk about Minecraft, I’m thinking they’ll inevitably move in more games. Aff, Rhys and I were talking about the potential near VR if not VR levels of play for games like Dead Light. For the record I’m the kind of person who tends to get so immersed that getting surprised by a Creeper in Minecraft from behind in what I thought was a safe zone resulted in a near heart attack and me letting loose a bloodcurdling scream that had Aff running in from the other room, expecting me to be… I dunno, covered in redback spiders maybe. So I’m not really up to jumping straight into VR zombie hunting gaming. According to Aff, Gabe Newell (spelling unsure) tried to game with the Hololens and tried it with Dead Light; and there have been testers who ended up breaking their Hololens when they tried dodging monsters or projectiles.

I'm not 'upgrading' to scenes like this.

I’m not ‘upgrading’ to scenes like this.

So while it may change the way that we see and play games its likely to be something I ease into slowly.

Gaming aside, I’m very curious to see how this technology will affect things like education (very greatly I imagine!), 3D and digital art, and film-making. To some extent we already see holograms, such as they are now, being used in entertainment – Hatsune Miku’s concerts spring to mind, and here are some non-Miku examples. The concept of virtual digital assistants with a visible presence isn’t far off in this idea either, and as it is, MS is bundling Cortana as the virtual assistant for Windows from now on.

While there is no guarantee she will look like this, the character from HALO might be the default assistant image/avatar?

While there is no guarantee she will look like this, the character from HALO might be the default assistant image/avatar?

Personally, I’m hoping we can create customize ones. I’d like mine to be a little shoulder-dragon voiced by Hugh Laurie. ^_^

Certainly the expansion of social media capabilities and access are possible and extensive, well beyond my ability to  imagine at present.

Of course, it’s entirely possible that the reason why I’m having problems being imaginative at the moment is hinted by my nearly falling asleep at my keyboard for the last half hour now. My brain is threatening sleep mode so this is getting posted now.

Foooooood

Found out about another Filipino food grocery online here in Townsville and it seems they may also be a Filipino restaurant. I think I’ll unleash the Kitten Cute Eyes on Rhys when he gets home later tonight. They have the larger pots of Lily’s peanut butter!!!!!!!!!1 And Star Margarine sweet blend. And Buko Pie. I think I’ll see if I can buy one for Rhys; he never was able to try some before; and I only make my special buko pie with fresh ingredients, which I don’t know how to get here. omg. looking at the menu makes me so hungry right now. yesisoundsobrainlessrightnowidon’tcare. Tocino, longganisa and daing na banggus are pains in the ass for me to cook; the first two require boiling time then being fried; daing requires frying. Okay I grant I really am a huuuuuge wuss about frying. Otherwise I’d be having tinapang galunggung and daing. Which I’ve been hungering for since the start of this pregnancy. I hope they also have the crispy dilis fingerfish. =9

I’ll write about it tomorrow if we go ^.^

I thought I may as well blog about the Asian groceries I know about  here in Townsville; it took me some looking to find but these are the ones I know of as of this writing.

Besides Sari Sari, which is located at : Shop 5 Riverside Shopping Centre 1 Riverside Boulevard corner Angus Smith Drive Douglas, Townsville, Queensland

there’s

D’kapatid Asian Grocery – Located at: 1 Forest Avenue Kirwan QLD 4817  According to the G+ page the phone number is (07) 4755 1020; but I don’t know if that phone number is accurate. They sell breads and cakes, meats and fish, as well as some of the usual Filipino canned goods and condiments and cosmetics. They’re off the road between Stocklands and Willows

Oriental Food Supplies is more a General Asian Grocery; there’ll be Japanese, Chinese, Indian and more. They’re found near the Stocklands Mall, and are at 272 Ross River Road Aitkenvale QLD 4814 They’re a smaller shop, but well stocked with both dry and frozen goods, as well as fresh greens and fruits.

Asian Supermarket NQ PTY Ltd.3/116 Charters Towers Road Hermit Park QLD 4812 (07) 4772 3997  This is is the biggest Asian grocery that I know of in Townsville; they have a decent frozen food and meats section as well. They have a wide range of cuisines available- from Indian, to Malaysian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Filipino foods.
I’ve shopped extensively at each of these and they’re all very friendly. The folks at Oriental Food Supplies were quite understanding and forgiving and exchanged the glutinous rice that Rhys bought by mistake once instead of the 10kg of jasmine rice I was looking for.
I’ve spotted a small little Asian Grocery between Willows Mall and Stocklands, but it seems to be located in the garage area of a set of apartments. There are also several Indian food groceries I’ve seen while we drive past, but I’m not really familiar with Indian food and spices, so folks should have a gander.

Yummy Hospital Food!

Yeah I know, there’re are people out there going O_o wtf at that title. It’s like saying “OMG YUMMY AIRPLANE FOOD.” (Which I have had. Emirates and Philippine Airlines international flights have delicious food, and I hear Singapore Airlines and JAL have also good inflight menus. So…yeah. ^^;;; )

So, hospital food here in Townsville Hospital? Is yum. I’m not saying that because “I don’t have a choice and hafta eat it because I’m admitted for baby-observation” but because I really do find the options delicious. Lunch was a meltingly soft beef curry with steamed green beans (that was my choice, since I get jabbed for blood tests as part of the monitoring) and I have a coffee. I chat up the lunch ladies here and they now know I ABSOLUTELY ADORE the hospital’s egg sandwiches. If someone rejects them please give them to me while I’m here. cute puppy eyes And well, extra protein for bubs! (I have some sealed fruit juices and fruit cups that were rejected and I’ve set aside to increase my vitamin C intake to help me absorb the goodness for the baby too.)

Hospital food is yummy here.

Anyway. It so happened someone rejected their egg and ham sandwiches, and the food cart lady asked if I wanted them. DO I EVER?! I love the boiled egg salad sandwiches here, but egg sandwiches in the hospital are om nom nom weakness for me. The egg sandwiches might not seem special to anyone but they’re light and creamy and flavorful eggs of perfection without being overwhelmingly eggy. Maybe next time I’ll remember to take a picture of them before snaffling them down. They’re so yummy… They have plenty of other sandwiches too, but the egg ones and the chicken ones are my faves.

There’s always a good meal too. You have the main dish (one of the meals scheduled that I picked will be chicken schnitzel with sides, and the dessert for that will be a fudge cake. OM NOM NOM, must remember to take photo). The tray will have a fruit cup, coffee or tea (I pick coffee) and often a slice of bread and options of jelly or Veeeeeeeegimite (I… prefer the jelly) and there’s often a fruit cup of diced fruit. I found out that people often turn up their noses on these things and sometimes, if lucky the fruit cups, extra sandwiches and such end up in the lounge fridge for anyone to have. If unlucky they get thrown away. Thrown. Away. HORRORS.

Now, the food served are also balanced diets. A serve of meat, carbs and steamed veg is the usual. The carbs can be mashed potatoes, rice, steamed and mashed pumpkin, or roasted potatoes or pumpkin/squash. They’re not overly salty, but also not bland. And they do serve a small packet of salt and pepper that if used, is just the right amount. Breakfast is typically cereal options, (I pick boiled oatmeal porridge), fruit cup, yogurt, fruit piece, coffee or tea, slice of bread with butter and jam option. It’s very filling, and usually afterward I walk around the ward to stretch my muscles and ensure I don’t encourage blood clots.

Milo, Chocolate Chip Cookies and ANZAC biscuits. Yum!!!!!!

Mid morning, mid afternoon and about 8 pm, there’s a coffee trolley that goes around too. I look forward to these because they have the option of hot Milo with the usual coffee and tea (and yes, I can ask for a milo-coffee!) and this is where I get the chance for little saltine crackers and cheese, or a packet or two of Arnott’s bikkies or cookies. =9 The cheese and cracker option it pure delight when eaten with the supply of cherries or grapes I have here with me for extra vitamin C snackies.

Milo coffee, saltines and a nibble of cheese - healthy snackie!

Healthy little nibbles

And I’ve taken so long writing this that they’ve come up with the tea / bikkie break. I asked for a Milo-coffee / mocha, and they gave me the saltines and cheese =9

Staying hydrated isn’t a problem either. The water bottles they give out have a sweet water that reminds me of Evian (which we used to drink when I lived back in Germany.) I often find myself surprised when I empty a bottle from idly sipping while writing. I also have my half-cup juice stash of apple juice, and there’s the tea trolley, and if I want more I can just meander down to the lounge and make myself a coffee, then toddle back to my room. I can also make myself a chamomille or Lady Grey tea since I brought some teabags from the house (because I do try to cut back on the coffee to just twice a day.)

I’m quite well fed and cared for here, and I really appreciate the efforts on that. So I thought I’d write about it.

And now that I have, I’m going to eat the food.

Yamanama’s epic stalker breakdown.

I’ve an update up on the Yamanama aka Andrew P. Marston the Stalker PSA thread. It is a rather epic illustration of how some people are apparently placed on this planet to be horrible warnings to the rest of the human race – and possibly others as well. Andrew P. Marston of Marshfield, Massachusetts, is clearly one of these things. Over the years, he has displayed absolutely appalling levels of misogyny and racism towards myself, shown himself to be a liar and a stalker who holds the most absolute of double-standards of ‘not for thee but for me,’ has no problems violating laws or invading his victims’ privacy when it suits him to do so, has no issues with harassment, defamation, slander, public smear, misrepresentation and intellectual theft as long as he’s the one using them, but the moment that anyone tries to defend themselves, fights back, or exposes him, he attempts desperately to implement  DARVO tactics

This is why yama always tries to accuse but never gives proof of his accusations

DARVO tactics description

Happily the attempts to do this to myself don’t work, as I’ve carefully kept a public record of his words and harassment over the years. Since I’m doing the unthinkable – a little Asian woman daring to defy the white-man-bully that he is- he makes the completely unfounded claims that I am the ‘stalker’. This is very clearly not the case and his behaviour as a whole has remained entirely unchanged throughout the years, at least since the documentation I’ve seen of the last group he harassed back in 2005.

Notably Yama aka Andrew is very keen to have the records of that incident erased, as it documents his use of pornography and illegal pornographic content, in a deliberate attempt to expose two eleven year old girls to it – something he did because he wanted to punish the mother for her beliefs (Which, I grant, are unpleasant since she’s a white supremacist) but note that Andrew P. Marston went after the children, not the mother. This was something he felt was completely acceptable to do. This in turn makes his threats towards my own family quite credible as a result. Andrew has already gone after my housemate Aff, and my partner Rhys to harass for their association with me (as documented by the sticky)- thus if he had the opportunity to harm my children, he would clearly do so as past evidence proves.

There are indications from the way Andrew has spoken that he has my home address and my phone number and dispersed it – either partially or in whole – to persons unknown.  Presumably the people he would have revealed these details to might be encouraged to take action against what they think are soft, easy targets. Whether this is mere harassment, or even greater harmful intent is speculation at this point, but of one thing we can be certain: Andrew P. Marston means my family nothing but harm and there is nothing but hatred and malice in his actions.

I understand that the blogger, writer, publisher and Internet personage Vox Day is in the midst of initiating legal proceedings against Andrew. Regardless of what you may think of the man, he is quite correct that 56 months of harassment from Andrew P. Marston is quite long enough – I myself have been harassed by Andrew since late 2009. That’s going For some reason, Andrew thinks I am the instigator of this process, or at the very least is desperate to paint me as the person responsible for what he demonstrably is falsely claiming is harassment and stalking. Prior to very recent events, while I did refer to Vox’s blog for additional evidence of Andrew’s harassment and stalking, I had not participated nor commented on that blog. The only reason I did so recently was because Andrew was exploiting a flaw in Blogger/Blogspot’s comment permissions and attempting to impersonate other people in a desperate attempt to paint himself as a victim, and I headed off the possibility of him stealing my identity in such a high-traffic place. Invariably, he did attempt this, but I am fortunate enough to have a place that Andrew cannot exploit and pretend to be someone else on – namely, my website, and the associated Affsdiary Forums. It is a digital place where Andrew is unwelcome, and cannot pretend to be someone else, nor use proxies and other methods of obscurement on.

For those who are his victims, it is a simple matter to create an account and establish their own identity there, and create their own proof thread to show they are in fact the ones posting on blogger or Blogspot.

After reading through Andrew’s temper tantrum from over my shoulder, a friend of mine notes:

Have you ever had that feeling that you’re standing in a room where everyone hates you, and wishes you would move along like a bad fart?

I bet Yama gets that every day.

There’s surgery for disfigurements, and medications for certain mental conditions. There isn’t any help for stupid, and Andrew here has a terminal case of it.

Quod erat demonstrandum, in ways irrefutable indeed.

I am very clearly the center of the universe or something for someone

For a certain ridiculously persistent stalker and social plague, that is.

Because Picard for the win~

I mean, there’s gotta be a reason why I’m constantly being dragged up in conversations which have nothing to do with me, especially over the past few days where I’ve been too busy and physically fried to actually keep up with things online.

Coz, you know, Christmas preparations and all that, in real life, mean that I’m kinda swamped and busy. Especially with baking things (there may be actual posts about that, we’ll see) and other things.

At any rate, have yet another update of the Stalker Sticky as well as the Spewdonym List.

========

Edited to add:

Vox Day has two very fascinating posts:

Pity the Troll – Part 1 and Part 2

Woah. /keanureeves The stuff I discover when I resurface from being AFK RL BUSY MODE.

eta: Okay having read through a chunk of that, I think it’s a good idea to put this out there once more. This was a facepalming flame directed at Yama on Jordan’s blog yeaaaaaaaaaars ago. It bears repeating now.

But holy shit, in what UNIVERSE DID YOU FUCKING THINK THAT WOULD WORK?!

Seriously, where were you when God was handing out brains? And why, why, why is it starting to look like that your ancestors went out for tacos instead of waiting for their Apple from the Tree of Knowledge? It’s gotta be like that because there is no way this much stupid could be distilled down to three successive generations, which makes me boggle. How in the name of Darwin did natural selection not get you?

I mean it. Anyone with two neurons floating in the center of a sac of saline would have cottoned on at light speed how that ‘plan’ was going to go very, very, very, epically fail. And mutate into so much wrongness, I’m surprised that the Gods haven’t struck it down as an abomination of reality.

Yama is getting very, very desperate to try squirt ink and muddy the waters by spoofing somehow Jordan179’s blogspot account.

Here’s the associated screenshots highlighting the vast difference of commentary (link, because the image causes quite a bit of side scroll). Note that Count Bullets-ula is Yama in the last screenshot, where he starts trying to make the spurious claim that I had Vox stalk this Emma person, who I don’t know and have never heard of before. If she’s the girl in the video Vox links on his blog, I did not watch, as I’m not really into hipster stuff and since the close up image is of her nostril, I’m not likely to click. The fake Jordan179 makes the same claim. This is demonstrably stupid, as I actually TALK to Jordan179, and stupider still, since I have Jordan’s RL address because I have plans to send him a present. So I KNOW where Jordan lives.

Note the posting of Yama as an anonymous in thethread that the real Jordan links. Again, Yama makes the comment of ‘filing spurious reports’, desperate to make it sound like Jordan has done so, when Jordan has actually said outright that he hasn’t filed any police reports.

Yama’s visted my LJ no less than three times from the times I’ve checked. Yeesh.

Speaking of LJ, Yama is currently harassing someone I look up to as an artist and writer, MCA Hogarth. Over Cuba. Where Micah is FROM. Pay attention to how he pooh-poohs the suffering of her family, by trying to draw the false equivalence that ‘people have it worse.’

ETA AGAIN 12:27pm Dec 22 2014 Australian Eastern Time:

Hey! Look who just visited!

Clearly Yama’s not happy that I’m able to show he’s pretending to be Jordan.

I like how he’s tacitly admitting to be Jordan in his reply.

Yep I hit a nerve.

====================

I have decided to comment over on Vox Populi for the first time.

First, this is to establish my identity so that Yama cannot try to pretend to be me, as he is currently doing with Jordan179, and apparently, Markku in the Vox Populi blog.

Second, as proof that this was me commenting, I have taken a screenshot of my post, and posted it here and in the Stalker Sticky thread.

(oops. Looks like I made a mistake, and the old comment got eaten since I’ve never really posted to blogspot before. Here’s my updated comment.)

I will ALSO make the point of posting screenshots of my own comments to prove that I am the one posting in the Forums as that is someplace where Yama has been banned from and is unable to post to.

Chocolate de Tony Modena

This recipe is named after my father, who would make this chocolate on cold autumn and winter nights when we lived in Europe. It is best had while still hot, with bread to dip into it (like brioche, or pan de sal), or excellent with Churros if you know how to make those (‘coz I’m afraid I don’t… yet. As of this writing anyway.)

You may substitute the sugar and butter with the sugar substitute of your choice, and butter-flavoured margarine. I’ve been told by friends that the use of these does not in any way or form detract from the fullness of chocolatey flavour. I am unsure how this would taste if one uses a cow milk substitutes, as the cream of the milk is part of what gives this the rich flavour. Do feel free to experiment and let me know how it goes!

I should warn that this is very addictive stuff, and utterly wonderful comforting delight while reading a book

Ingredients

3/4 cup cocoa powder / Dutch cocoa powder (unsweetened)

3/4 cup (packed) brown sugar

2 1/2 cup evaporated milk OR full cream milk (must be full cream)

125g butter (or 1/2 cup butter) or half a 250g cake of butter

2 teaspoons instant coffee powder (I use Nescafe Blend 43 or 45; or Arabica… but feel free to omit, or substitute a preferred brand This helps enhance the flavour of chocolate and gives it a dark richness and depth.)

1) Cream the butter, sugar and cocoa powder together in a saucepan, the way you would if you were making cookies. If you are using coffee powder, you may add coffee at this point. If using granules I prefer to put it on the next step.

Butter chopped into cubes ready for mixing into a chocolate powder mixture

Chopped butter is easier to mix.

Mixing tablea powder mixture with butter, best done with a food processor

Use a food processor; it’s easier! I only found this out afterward.

Tablea chocolate mixture being finished off by hand mixing

Then you won’t have to do this.

1.b) You have the option of turning this to chocolate tablea, by taking the mixture, rolling it into 1 inch size balls and refrigerating till solid. If making this for tablea, it’s best to use a glass or ceramic bowl. Each 1 inch ball will correspond to roughly 1 mug size serving.

Shaping chocolate mixture into tablea balls

Roll into balls roughly 1-inch in size

Balls of chocolate tablea ready for chilling

Cool the balls in the fridge for about 30 min to an hour

Balls of tablea chocolate in glass jars

Put into jars or a plastic container and keep in fridge

2) When it is well blended, add milk and simmer at medium heat, mixing constantly. When it reaches a boil, lower the heat, add coffee powder and keep stirring till chocolate is of the thickness you wish it to be.

2.b) If having made tablea, pour 1/2 cup milk or cream into a small saucepan and add tablea. Stir as the milk heats to melt the tablea. Prepare as above, diluting with milk until it reaches the thickness you want.

Ball of tablea chocolate being added to a mug of hot milk

Add 1 ball to about 1/2 cup hot milk

Tablea chocolate being stirred into hot milk

Mix the tablea into the milk until fully dissolved

Mug of hot chocolate ready to drink

Drink your hot chocolate!

Serve at half-mug servings with toast for dipping, or add warm milk for drinking at each cup. Sinfully good. Makes roughly 4 mugs of undiluted chocolate. Chocolate may be reheated in microwave.

Notes:

  • Here where I live in the Philippines they sell butter in a brick cake that is equal to 1 cup butter / 250g of butter. Some brands go only up to 225g, but the one I use is 250g. I used salted butter. The butter takes place of the butter in melting chocolate if using melting / baking unsweetened chocolate or chips.

**I added the coffee powder so the chocolate tastes extra dark when dipped, out of preference. Taste the chocolate before adding coffee powder so you can adjust for preference in flavour.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
